Noo, not winter checks already?!

Yes, it seems to be that time of year again, winter is approaching and the temperature dropping, which means that Almond is commencing the 'winter checks' programme.

This year, we will be carrying out checks in all households where a tenant is aged 70 years or over.

The checks include the following:

• Stop cock identification
• Checking your property is secure
• Any outstanding repairs
• Any tripping hazards on access paths

Undertaken by Almond Enterprises, the team will be in touch with all qualifying tenants very soon, to arrange a suitable time to visit.

Even if you do not qualify for a winter check, we would urge you to get your house winter ready by conducting the same checks yourself, and advising us of any concerns you may have.
