Applying for House

Applying

for a house

Almond Housing Association, Weslo Housing Management and West Lothian Council have worked together to produce the West Lothian Housing Register which is a common register of applicants seeking housing in the West Lothian area. Any applicant who wants to receive an offer of housing from any or all three of the landlords need only complete one application form.

This Common Housing Application Form is available from our office or may be downloaded from the link here. Application forms can also be obtained from Weslo Housing Management and West Lothian Council.

Almond has a variety of different types and sizes of properties located mainly in the Craigshill, Eliburn, Howden and Ladywell areas of Livingston. We also have a number of properties in other areas of West Lothian. Vacant properties are allocated using a Group Quota system and are allocated to applicants within each of the groups on a points basis to ensure priority is given to those in most housing need. More information is contained in the Housing Options Booklet which can be downloaded from the link below.

Housing Options Booklet

The Housing Options Booklet provides details of our allocation process which allows fair and open access to our housing. The booklet also gives information on the stock and allocations policies of Weslo Housing Management and West Lothian Council. Click here to download booklet.

Medical Self Assessment Form/ Guidance Notes

A Medical Self Assessment Form is available if medical circumstances relating to housing need are a factor in your requirement for housing. Staff will provide guidance on this if required. An application form and guidance notes are also available to download.
