We have funding for medical adaptations

We have funding to allocate to medical adaptations.

Is mobility, long-term illness or deafness becoming an issue for you?

We may be able to help with adjustments to your home.

What is a medical adaptation?Adaptations

This is funded by the Scottish Government and allows Almond to carry out physical works to our properties, to enable tenants to live as independently as possible.

Medical adaptations might include:

  • Grabrails in the bathroom
  • Changing a bath to an accessible shower, or wet room
  • A flashing light/vibrating pillow to alert you to the doorbell/fire alarm if you are hard of hearing
  • Automatic door openers

How do I apply?

A referral from an Occupational Therapist or GP is usually required, explaining what is needed and the urgency.

This should be submitted to Almond. If you have any problems getting a referral, speak to your Housing Officer.

Works will only be carried out whilst funding is available. See here for more details.
