Win funding through Community Soup

Would you like the chance to win funding for your community project or group?

Come along to Almond Housing Association’s Community Soup event.Community Soup logo

It is called Community Soup because local groups attend and make their pitches, all of which are then discussed and reviewed by the groups over a bowl of soup.

AlmondHA has funding to invest in fantastic community projects which will benefit local people. Which is why we are inviting those with creative ideas that will make a real difference to pitch at our Community Soup event.

So how does it work?

  1. Complete the Community Soup application form before 1st March, telling us more about your project and how it will make a difference
  2. We will invite a shortlist of applicants along to our Community Soup event on 14th March 2019
  3. We’ll provide help to get your four-minute pitch ready for the event
  4. Deliver your pitch and maybe your group will be one of the lucky recipients of the funding!

We would love to hear from groups with innovative plans to make a lasting difference in their community.

This can involve using local resources or public spaces to address environmental issues. Or maybe it's about helping people develop confidence or skills and creating local enterprise. We want everyone in our communities to have the opportunity to access positive activities which promote health and wellbeing, bring the community together and reduce loneliness and isolation. We’d really love to hear about them all!

Applications will be internally assessed to shortlist for Community Soup presentations. We will consider how well the project aligns with AlmondHA’s vision, whether the project is sustainable and how well it demonstrates social innovation. Please note we will not fund core running costs or trips, and you must be available for the appropriate date to pitch should you be shortlisted.

If you're considering applying to our Community Soup event; or you want to discover other ways AlmondHA can support your project, please call our Community Engagement Officer Barbara on 01506 439 291 or email barbara.boertien@almondha.org.uk
